Healthy snacks for any taste :)

Wondering what you could snack on?
Here are some quick and easy ideas, the family I cook for loves these…both for adults and kids :)

On the menu:

For a sweet tooth on the go...
Homemade granola (this makes a bunch, approximate measurements)-
-1 1/2  cup rolled Oats/raw buckwheat
-1/2 cup dried coconut meat
-1/4 cup cranberries
-1/4 cup sunflower seeds
-1/4 cup cashews
-little bit of choco nibs :)
-1/4 cup halved walnuts
Mix it all in (except dried cranberries) with
-1TBS coconut oil
or today I used :
-apple sauce…leaves them a bit more mushy, so depending if you like crunchy or mushy
-Preheat oven at 325`
-Spread on baking sheet, ready to go!
You might want to check every 5 min or so and turn them around a bit so they don't get burned.
keep them in oven until slightly brown

If you are craving salty and crunchy...
Baked Veggie Chips:
-cut thin and even slices of:
beets/yams/potatoes/turnips/parsley root/radishes/carrots/squashes/kale (bakes much faster)
-place on baking sheet
-spray a little olive oil
-sprinkle salt
-Preheat oven at 375` … turn up towards the end
-Bake until crunchy, about 15min
PS…this is a great way to use those veggies that you forgot to use the rest of the week!!!

Feeling more simple…
-Sprinkled apples
with pumpkin seeds, topped with agave&cinnamon
or
-Nutty celery
celery sticks with almond butter
...cant get any more basic then this!
